The Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is New Zealand's largest cycle event and the world's largest cycling relay. A wide range of cycling events for both road and mountain bikes. Held annually in late November.

Most famous racing carnival in Australasia. First Tuesday in November.

The New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards are the premier awards for the engineering professionals of New Zealand. Annual Awards Gala Dinner held in late November.
* NZ Sculpture OnShore Auckland
NZ Sculpture OnShore presents a major biennial exhibition of New Zealand sculptural work suitable for the outdoors. Works by leading and emerging New Zealand artists. Next being held in 2012.
* SCAPE Biennial Christchurch
Biennial of Art in Public Space held in Christchurch. Organised by the Art & Industry Biennial Trust, New Zealand's only biennial dedicated to public art. August to November.
* South Island Half Ironman
Annual event held at Lake Hood, Mid Canterbury. Officially sanctioned by Triathlon New Zealand.

* Volvo Round The World Ocean Race
The 2011-12 Volvo Ocean Race started in Alicante, Spain, in October 2011 and will finish in Galway, Ireland in July 2012. Auckland is a stopover port.
