* Department of Conservation (DoC) Te Papa Atawhai
DoC manages: National parks, scenic reserves, conservation areas and protected ecological areas. Native wildlife, non-commercial freshwater fisheries, historic places on conservation land, marine reserves, marine mammals and offshore islands set aside for conservation.
* Environment Agency of England and Wales
Government organisation working towards a better environment in England and Wales. Main concerns include land, air and water quality, conservation, pollution control, recycling and education.
* Environment Court
Deals with cases under the Resource Management Act 1991 such as references about the contents of regional and district statements and plans, and appeals arising out of applications for resource consent.
* Environmental Reporting Programme
A national environmental reporting system using environmental performance indicators to gather and report on the health of our environment.
* Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) Ngā Kaiwhakatūpato Whakararu Taiao
Controls the introduction to New Zealand of new hazardous substances and new plants and animals, including genetically modified organisms.
