Auckland District Law Society
- Auckland District Law Society is a statutory body set up under the Law Practitioners Act 1982. It is made up of everyone who holds a current practising certificate, as a barrister or as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court, practising in the area north of the line drawn between Thames in the East and Pukekohe in the West.
Corporate Lawyers Association of New Zealand (CLANZ)
- CLANZ was established 1987 to meet needs of corporate and government lawyers (eg information sharing, networking, etc) It recognises the distinct interests and needs shared by lawyers providing professional services to their employers.
Criminal Bar Association of New Zealand Inc.
- The Criminal Bar Association of New Zealand was formed in 1984 to further and promote the practice of criminal law in New Zealand. The membership of the CBA includes lawyers, Judges, Justices and prosecutors, whose area of expertise and interest is our criminal justice system. The CBA takes an active role in law reform issues, particularly in such areas as legislative change, individual rights and freedoms, and as well prison reform.
Legal Research Foundation
- An independent, non-profit body associated with the University of Auckland Faculty of Law. The Foundation promotes legal education, research, and law reform by running seminars and conferences for the legal and academic communities.
