Aviation Security Service Kaiwhakamaru Rererangi- Responsibility for aviation security is shared between the New Zealand Police and the Ministry of Transport.
Civil Aviation Authority Te Mana Rererangi Tumatanui o Aotearoa- The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is the regulatory authority for civil aviation in New Zealand. Establishes and maintains the rules that all pilots, engineers, aircraft operators, airlines and aerodromes follow to keep flying safe. Checks these rules are being complied with and has the power to take action if found that they are not.
Transport Accident Investigation Commission Te Komihana Tirotiro Aitua Waka- Responsible for the independent investigation of significant aviation, rail, and marine accidents and incidents. TAIC does not investigate road accidents or incidents except when the circumstances may have significant implications for the safety of, for example, the rail transport system.
