The Bioinformatics Institute, University of Auckland, New Zealand
- New Zealand's Bioinformatics Institute was established with funding from AgResearch Ltd, and the University of Auckland. With ten full-time researchers and twenty-five affiliate investigators, the Bioinformatics Institute is a centre of research excellence in bioinformatics, with specialisations in evolutionary bioinformatics, genomics, microarray analysis, and population and conservation genetics.

Plant-SyNZ
- This database focuses on New Zealand native plants and New Zealand native invertebrate herbivores (insects and mites). It includes naturalised and cultivated plants that host native herbivores and adventive and overseas invertebrate herbivores that feed on native plants. The Plant-SyNZT database will enable a user to search for and obtain a list of herbivores associated with a particular plant or search for and obtain a list of plants associated with a particular herbivore.
