Multisport

Multisport includes duathlons, triathlons or other endurance events where more than one sporting discipline is involved, such as swimming, cycling, distance-running and kayaking. This page lists mulitsport resources at your library and provides links to futher material.

Multisport in Christchurch

Christchurch is the finishing point for the famous Coast to Coast event. Christchurch has produced world champion multisport athletes such as Erin Baker and Steve Gurney.

There are regular multisport events in the region, such as Surf n Turf. The Canterbury Triathlon Club has many local and regional events — for all age groups — listed on its website.

There are also events for beginners or those who want the challenge of completing an event more than a full-on race: Triwoman, Women’s triathlon and duathlon series and the Bloke’s triathlon and duathlon series.

The Weet-Bix kids TRYathlon also has a Christchurch event.
