The CLPE Poetry Award
The CLPE (Centre for Literacy in Primary Education) Poetry Award, like the Signal Award, aims to honour excellence in children’s poetry. It was established in 2003 and will be presented annually in May/June for a book of poetry published in the preceding year. The book can be a single-poet collection, an anthology, an important critical work about children’s poetry, or the body of work of one contemporary poet writing for children.
