Easter hours
Easter is a movable Christian holiday that falls around the vernal equinox in March. Its date is calculated according to church-constructed tables and it occurs on different days every year. To find out more about how the date is calculated and Easter traditions see our Easter page.
In New Zealand both the Friday (Good Friday) and the Monday of Easter are statutory public holidays.
