Key features

Te Puna Search is a web based service giving access to a range of databases and search tools. These include:

  • Australian National Bibliographic Database: operated by the National Library of Australia;
  • Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO): a global organisation focused on research and development;
  • Library of Congress Catalog: items catalogued include books, journals, government documents, microforms, sound and video, prints, drawings, photographs, films, manuscripts, braille books and music;
  • Melvyl - the Catalog of the University of California (UC): the second largest database of bibliographic records (after OCLC). It contains entries for materials in many formats, including manuscripts, maps, visual media, microforms and government documents;
  • National Agricultural Library (USA): one of the world's largest agricultural research libraries;
  • National Library of Medicine: the world's largest medical library and the creator of Medline/Pubmed;
  • New Zealand National Union Catalogue: contains bibliographic records with holdings for resources held in New Zealand libraries.
