World languages
This page is a brief guide to our collection of fiction and non-fiction in several languages, which we call our World Language collection.
Languages include Afrikaans, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Vietnamese and Russian. There are also smaller collections in some European languages.

While Central Library remains closed we are working towards making these collections available at other locations.

Upper Riccarton Library: Chinese, Japanese, Korean
Some children’s material is available in these languages at each of these libraries.
