Aranui Community Library / Te Kete Wānanga o Aranui opening 2012

Aranui Library construction started on 5 December 2011
Construction of the Aranui Library began on 5 December 2011. Following the earthquakes there has been a structural re-design including a stronger foundation system to withstand increased seismic activity. It is hoped the new library will open in late August 2012.
The new library will be on Aldershot Street, next to Wainoni Park. The library was due to open in July 2011 but start of construction was delayed by the February 2011 earthquake. Te Kete Wānanga o Aranui will be a place to enhance lives at home, at work, at play.
