Library Leadership Team

The Library Leadership Team is the senior management of Christchurch City Libraries and comprises the City Libraries Manager and seven managers responsible for all aspects of library services.

Unit Manager Libraries and Information

Carolyn leads the libraries leadership team and has overall responsibility for the successful delivery of public library services in Christchurch.

Manager Digital Library Services

Andrew and his team look after the library's I.T. and digital services, ensuring that customers and staff have access to the computers and online tools that they need.

Rosemary NichollsRosemary Nicholls

Community Libraries Manager

Rosemary leads the team delivering library services through the Hornby, Halswell, Upper Riccarton, Spreydon, South, Linwood, Sumner, Diamond Harbour, Akaroa and Little River Libraries, as well as the Mobile Library service and services to group care facilities such as Rest Homes.

Bev leads the team responsible for the delivery of library services from the Central City Library.

Erica leads the team delivering library services through the Shirley, Papanui, Fendalton, Redwood, Bishopdale, New Brighton, Parklands and Lyttelton Libraries.

Library Content Manager

Ann and her team are responsible for the selection, purchasing, cataloguing, processing, distribution and repairing of all library resources; from books to magazines, DVDs to digital databases, and provide leadership in the planning and development of collections

Pat StreetPat Street

Programmes and Learning Manager

Pat leads the team that is responsible for educational programmes and public events at Christchurch City Libraries. This includes specialist teams and roles - the Māori Services team, the Programme Design and Delivery team, the Children’s and Young Adults Learning Advisor, the families outreach team, and two co-ordinator positions for the libraries network wide events and staff professional learning and development.

Sally ThompsonSally Thompson

Places and Spaces Manager

Sally and her team are responsible for managing and developing our library buildings. They plan and monitor maintenance, replacements and daily maintenance and repairs. They are closely involved in the planning and organising of the refurbishment of current library buildings and work with the community and others in the planning and building of new libraries.
